WHAT WE ARE DOING NOW 

TO REDUCE PLASTIC 

We are in the process of replacing plastic tape with paper as supplies are depleted

When plastic storage containers etc need to be replaced only repurposed or non plastic alternatives will be used 

We are transitioning to 100% eco friendly cleaning and bathroom supplies in refillable containers as current supplies are used. Suppliers will be asked to provide the details of the impact of the ingredients so we can make a decision on whether this is a true eco-friendly product and switch to a 100% natural solution where possible

TO REDUCE OUR CARBON FOOTPRINT 

Replacing the remaining 50% of our old roof with a new structure and insulating with appropriate material where possible. This will make our building warmer and retain heat more effectively. This will allow us to run the heating for a shorter period to cut use and costs

Using compost bins for all appropriate waste

Reducing the temperature our thermostat is set at

WHAT WE NEED TO DO NEXT 

Engage customers and building users in our journey to sustainability by:

Highlight what we are doing by the use of in-house advertising e.g a blackboard to be changed weekly noting a green initiative that we or one of our suppliers has begun

Direct customers to our Sustainability Plan through social media and use weekly through ‘stories’ that highlight our Sustainability Journey 

Request that all tenants complete a sustainability plan by December 2023 following the format of the gallery plan to encourage the development of common goals 

Share everything our building users do in their ‘Sustainability Journey’ through social media and through in house advertising. We hope this message will encourage customers to do the same
