Happy May Day! My favourite month is finally here-lovely weather, two Bank Holidays and longer evenings. We always get lots of holiday makers this time of year too. We enjoy chatting to all of our visitors from near and far. Felton is a great place to stop off on your way north, south or when you are headed to the coast. Not only can you visit our shop, studios and galleries but the popular Running Fox cafe is just down the hill. We also have a great village shop, the Northumberland Arms pub and the Foxes Den micropub. Add some beautiful walks along the river Coquet and you’ve got a perfect spring day out!
At the moment, you can view our textiles exhibition Stories in Thread. To go along with this, we have planned a series of textile workshops-see below for details. Upstairs, we have Don Sands paintings-landscapes and animals that show local scenes and Northumbrian wildlife.
Don’t forget that tomorrow is a Repair Cafe Day! All small repairs are considered. Don’t throw it away-give it a second life! Items can be bought in between 11:00-3:00 and donations are welcome. What a great time to have your gardening tools sharpened!
We will soon be sharing the menu for our next Craft Cafe! We are holding another afternoon tea session on June 13 but if you’d like to book early, please give us a ring and we can talk you through the craft choices!
We hope you’ll pay us a visit soon! We’ve had lots of new stock arriving (including Jellycats, Emma Ball and our Northumberland gift range). We are closed Bank Holidays but this Sunday we are home to the Children’s Book Festival: https://littlefeltonbookfestival.co.uk/
Thanks for reading and have a great weekend! Mary and Jane 01670 783 424
