Our Carbon Footprint

The steps we have taken so far on our journey

• We installed biomass heating in 2015 to replace our gas boiler. This made our building warmer and allowed us to be fuelled solely by renewables for heating and hot water. By being part of the government’s RHI scheme (Renewable Heat Incentive) this also reduced our annual costs

• We installed an electric car charging point on opening in 2013. We were included on a map of national charging points and this brought additional visitors to the gallery

• We reduced an area of hardstanding at the rear of the gallery and planted herbs
